Whitehead has been in existence for 25 years and was founded by Eileen and Ray Whitehead. It grew from Eileen’s desire to create meals for large numbers that tasted as if they had been home-cooked. In pursuit of this, adjustments and refinements have been made to classic recipes to allow them to be used on a larger scale, and this process continues today.
The home-cooked taste can only be achieved through the use of good, fresh ingredients and we insist that, wherever possible, we obtain our meat from a local, quality butcher and our fruit and vegetables from suppliers who visit London markets daily.
Over the years we have catered for a wide range of functions including weddings, office functions, parties, Masonic meetings and funerals ranging in size from 10 to 300 people.
Following Eileen’s retirement in September 2002, her daughter, Jo, who has worked with Eileen for some 6 years, has come to the fore, and together with her husband Chris, continue to offer quality fare at sensible prices.
